Chris 'The Bear' Fallica's MLB Cy Young, WNBA Futures Best Bets
Fallica Backs Hancock for AL Cy Young, Sky Wins Total
Chris "The Bear" Fallica has placed wagers on Seattle Mariners pitcher Emerson Hancock to win the American League Cy Young Award at +8000 odds. He also backs the Chicago Sky to surpass 18.5 regular-season wins and Chennedy Carter for WNBA Sixth Player of the Year at +480. These are actual bets Fallica is making amid the early MLB season and the WNBA's season tip-off.
Tarik Skubal's injury has opened the AL Cy Young race, with Hancock emerging as a longshot candidate. The 26-year-old right-hander enters his start against the Chicago White Sox with a 2.56 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 9.9 strikeouts per nine innings and an 8-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Opponents hit .225 against him, 45 points lower than last year, after he increased his innings from 60.2 to 90.
The Sky overhauled their roster after a poor 2025-26 season, making coaching changes and trading Angel Reese to Atlanta. Additions include Skylar Diggins, Jacy Sheldon, DiJonai Carrington and Natasha Cloud in the backcourt, plus rookies Rickea Jackson and Kamilla Cardoso up front. The moves address prior defensive weaknesses and low rankings on both ends of the floor.
Carter joins reigning champion Las Vegas, where Jewell Loyd is expected to start, positioning Carter for a major bench role. She averaged 17.5 points per game with the Sky in 2024.
